We have chosen to sponsor a local clinician to ensure the hospital building is used throughout the year. In the future the clinicians will be replaced by Rokpa students who we are sponsoring to degree level. The Rokpa orphanage students will be given the opportunity to gain knowledge and work experience from the clinicians.

We have selected a highly respected Ophthalmologist (Eye Doctor) to conduct a weekly clinic session throughout the year. Her role will be to continue the optical discipline when the Western Volunteers are not in attendance. A great advantage of this arrangement is the Doctor's ability to diagnose and treat eye disease (with it's associated costs). We estimate 30 patients will be seen per clinic day (equivalent of approximately 1500 patients per year).
